Over time, we have seen people yearn and desire to add value to their world but most of the times these desires come without action. The truth is that it is a gradual process to become extra ordinary and reach our set goals in life. Things we do day after day accumulate to make up what our peak point will be.

In this article, I share five (5) things you need to do to make sure your days are always fruitful and never to record another day of futility in life.

Below are the steps you need to take daily to ensure productivity:

1. Plan Your Day: Create a To-Do-List

It is frequently said that if you fail to plan, you are more or less planning to fail. This also applies to how you spend your days. In fact, it is your daily activities that determine your success to a greater extent. So you need to plan your day the night before and make a list of what must be achieved for the day. This makes you have a sense of direction and weakens the effect of distractions.
You need to make a list of what you want to get done each day and follow it to the letter. It is advisable that you check each of them at completion to ensure self-accountability and productivity.
You will discover that you get more things done and more progress to be recorded.

2. Eat Well: Don’t Skip Breakfast

When you are up from the clinging arms of the bed to face the day, make sure you start with a breakfast.  Taking your breakfast daily keeps you agile and increases your efficiency.
It helps you store and reserve more energy for the work of the day as well. The first step to becoming wealthy and successful is being healthy. Do not joke with taking your breakfast, no matter how busy your day might seem to be.

3. Abhor Distractions

Distractions make you procrastinate and procrastination is a thief of time. Procrastination is a cankerworm to our success in life. To achieve what you need to achieve in a day you need to stop excessive involvement with the social media – Facebook, WhatsApp, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat etc. Also, avoid unnecessary gist, gossips and banters.
It is imperative you avoid these distractions to ensure we are productive per day.
Don’t get me wrong, you should make use of social media and be a social person as well but not excessively to the detriment of your productivity in life as an individual who wants to succeed. If you are able to moderately engage in activities and get the things on your to-do-list as top importance then you can record more success.

4. Leisure: Have a Resting Time

It’s been proven over time that stress has in one way or the other cost many people their health and resources.
Take out at least 2 hours from your day to have some rest. For more productivity, you need to rest your body, your mind, and your brain.
You need to rest well to be more productive.Review Your DayYeah, people who aspire to be successful and different in life do not get out of a day and go to bed without reviewing their day. Ask yourself, what have I achieved today? What value have I added to life today? Who are the people I have helped with what I did today?

5. Review Your Day

Yeah, people who aspire to be successful and different in life do not get out of a day and go to bed without reviewing their day. Ask yourself, what have I achieved today? What value have I added to life today? Who are the people I have helped with what I did today?
You should be able to answers to these questions before you go to bed at the end of the day. But if you don’t improve on yourself and work harder and be more disciplined the next day, productivity will remain an illusion.

Apply these steps on a daily basis and watch your productivity level increase. Help yourself to live happily and add value to your world.
